Gingerbread house

I've never done a gingerbread house before... but I think this turned out great! Every single bit of it is edible!

Ho Ho Ho!

This was made for a Christmas party we attended. I wanted to make something festive, and something that was quick and easy due to the fact that I had another large cake (the bug cake), 2 gingerbread houses to make, as well as decorate more sugar cookies in the same weekend. The cake was 2 layers... one chocolate and one vanilla with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting.

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!

This was made for some of our very good friends son's 7th birthday... the same friends that I made the treasure chest for. The round cake is confetti with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting and the spider was chocolate cake. Such a fun cake to make... and kind of Halloween-ish!

Christmas cookies

I made these for a holiday party that my husband and I attended. Everyone there couldn't stop raving about these cookies. The only thing that I would do differently next time, is bring more!

Treasure chest

I was asked by a friend if I could whip something up for her son Max's 7th birthday at the very last minute! I was told that I could do absolutely what ever I wanted, but it had to be chocolate, so this is what I came up with. Hardware was made from fondant, crushed graham crackers for the sand, lots of pirate booty... candy necklaces, ring pops, and chocolate coins were used for the finishing touch. I was told later on that everyone at Chuck-E-Cheese was coming over to admire it! Happy birthday Max!

Picture perfect present!

This cake wasn't for anything in particular! Just a little something for a friendly get together!

It's a Boy!

The first thing that everyone asks me when they see this picture is... is the bear cake? I was even asked if it was a teddy bear sitting on top. The round cake is vanilla and the bear is chocolate, all with vanilla buttercream frosting. Everything here is edible... except for the plastic rattle and the plastic safety pins. I added sugar cookies for the finishing touch!

Fiesta Thanksgiving

This cake was made for a Fiesta Thanksgiving that our friend's were hosting... which explains the sombrero the turkey is wearing!

Basket weave

This cake was a lot of work due to all the various flowers, and the blue birds... but in the end, I was very pleased with the results!

Home sweet home

This cake was made for my dad and step mom who just moved into a new home! The cake was yellow with chocolate frosting... my dad's favorite!

Over the rainbow!

There is nothing very special about this cake... just a simple rainbow on a gloomy afternoon!

Rose cake

Just a plain and simple chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting and roses.

Happy 1st birthday Anjali!

This giant cupcake cake was made for my daughter Anjali's 1st birthday with the help of my sister-in-law Katie who also shares the same love of baking . Everyone was amazed when they saw this monstrous thing! I have always enjoyed baking, but this is the cake that started my love for cake decorating!
